Position Summary
Rare opportunity in our Jackson office!
We have an immediate need for a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.
The Office Assistant will provide skilled office and administrative support to the Jackson office to ensure effective and efficient operations of the firm. Responsibilities include daily office tasks such as answering and directing phone calls, filing, copying, maintaining records, collating project-based work, and mail distribution, as well as additional clerical duties such as the production of documents, workflow, filing, and ordering of supplies. This position may assist in providing general marketing support to CEO or Marketing Director as requested, including the creation of business proposals, maintaining opportunity lists, and updating company information. There may be need for general clerical and project assistance for Senior Management Team and Project Managers, including assisting with project accounting, as requested.
- This position works in our Jackson office
- Normal work hours are Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm
- Temporary and/or permanent positions available, depending on the candidate’s qualifications
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred. Minimum of three (3) years secretarial/administrative experience. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and able to learn & use other computer applications. MS 365 experience a plus. Work requires continual attention to detail in typing and proofing materials. Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to prioritize and juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. Valid driver’s license required.
Additional Skills & Abilities:
Quick self-starter, team-oriented and able to work with different personalities and professional styles. Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of both the organization and the public. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
