Position Summary
This is an entry- or mid-level position. Assist senior-level engineers in the execution of routine technical activities required on assigned projects using standard procedures. Apply prescribed methods to complete limited and specific portions of a broader assignment for an experienced engineer. Participate in technical studies, investigations and design on assigned projects. Perform calculations, prepare specifications, with the potential to provide minimal guidance to other designers, drafters and engineers. Develop judgement in handling the variety of technical and non-technical considerations in project work.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university. FE and registration as an EIT preferred, with intent to pursue professional licensure. Good analytical and organizational skills. Basic understanding of and willingness to learn computer skills in AutoCAD and other Windows-based engineering & surveying applications. Some professional, practical work experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to learn the basics of design and analysis within one of the major technical disciplines practiced by the firm. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, teammates and clients. Possession of valid driver’s license.
