Description

Our Structural Engineering Project Managers effectively manage individual project teams of designers that deliver engineering solutions to our clients that are on time, within budget, and consistently exceed the clients’ expectations. Project Management includes day-to-day operational and tactical management of budgets, schedules, client relations, and project staff on multiple projects at any given time. The primary areas of responsibility are project design, project management, project delivery, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control. Project Managers are supervised by a Senior Project Manager or the Structural Engineering Discipline Director.

Requirements

Required: Demonstrated experience in Structural Engineering design and/or construction management, or related field. A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university is preferred. Demonstrated ability to evaluate the technical requirements of major segments of a large and complex project; outline the tasks, manpower and equipment requirements; establish fees, scope and project budgets; and outline a project schedule. Demonstrated ability to manage a combination of professionals, technicians, and administrative staff, and direct their efficient utilization on projects. Intermediate to Advanced computer skills in AutoCAD and Windows-based applications required. Revit Structural experience a plus. Possession of valid driver’s license.

Skills/Abilities: PE preferred. Must have excellent judgement, leadership, and communication skills. Requires well-developed organizational and communication skills and the ability to maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with engineering team and clients. Ability to understand essential engineering principles and practices. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public.
